Application Appealed

You have probably see on our Facebook page that the Brook Green planning application has gone to appeal with the Planning Inspectorate. This is what we hoped would not happen but was expected.

The appeal has been ‘called in’ and is in the form of a public inquiry with a report written up by the planning inspector and then the final decision is made by the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, which is currently The Right Honourable
James Brokenshire, MP for Old Bexley and Sidcup.

The No Brook Green Action Group have been granted Rule 6 status. The main benefit of this is that we will have the same status as the other parties, and receive all the evidence before the inquiry beings as well as being able to cross-examine other parties. Members of the public cannot ask questions of the other parties but they can turn up on the day and ask to speak (and they may be cross-examined). We intended to hire legal expertise to represent everyone who is against the proposed Brook Green development. If you can, please consider donating.
