Braintree District Council have recently published their draft local plan ready for consideration by Local Plan Sub-Committee at a meeting on 9th May 2016.
The good news is that they are proposing not to put forward the Brook Green development for consideration in the Local Plan. In addition to this they are also proposing that the site east of School Road, Rayne and land near The Swan pub, Rayne are not part of the Local Plan.
You can view the draft site allocations and the agenda for the meeting on May 9th here.
This is by no means a conclusion to the development so please keep sending in your objections to Braintree District council. There are currently 289 objections showing on their website!
