Brook Green is a proposed development of 1600 properties of mixed-use to the south west of Braintree running to the edge of the village of Rayne. Outline planning permission has been submitted to Braintree District Council by Acorn Braintree Limited to build the development on prime farmland and countryside running either side of the Flitch Way Country Park. This will result in the loss of countryside and the merging of Rayne into Braintree. The planning application reference is 15/01538/OUT and you can view full details on the Braintree District Council Planning page.

Campaigning to stop the Brook Green Development, Braintree
No Book Green serves as a hub of information regarding opposing the development, the loss of countryside, encroachment on a country park enjoyed by thousands, the loss of village identity and many more issues.
We are a small group of local residence who believe that the proposed Brook Green development is the wrong development in the wrong place at the wrong time. We aim to increase awareness of the proposed development and help others have their views heard.
